Free Compost for Residents

Join us on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at 836 Deerfield Road, Deerfield, IL 60015.

The Village of Deerfield is partnering with SWALCO to celebrate International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) and provide residents with free, local compost soil.

Reap all of the benefits of using compost soil for your Spring gardening, flowerbeds, landscaping, or lawn. Please bring your own buckets. Shovels provided. Maximum of 10 gallons per household. Compost is available while supplies last.
