Join us for this year's Tour of Native Gardens and Sustainable Features in Deerfield

Sat August 1st, 10 am to 2 pm

Visit your Deerfield neighbors and the Deerfield Historic Village and get great ideas on creating a native pollinator garden, a fun fairy garden, and foodscaping your yard with veggies and fruit.

See rooftop solar, EV chargers, and electric yard gear, get home composter and curbside composting info, ID native bumblebees, and learn about backyard chicken keeping right in town!

Don’t have time to visit them all? Visit as many as you like at your own pace.

FREE! No reservation needed. KID FRIENDLY–esp for petting zoo chicken lovers!

This year, we feature eight sustainable yards:

See how the Deerfield Historic Village transformed their native plant gardens, along with a historic herb and veggie garden and an apple orchard.

Joe’s yard brims with native plants, a tomato lover’s garden, and thriving oak saplings.

Pat’s yard is a well established garden focused on wildlife that will wow and inspire!

Camilla’s yard is sunny in the front, shady in the back, native pollinators all around!

Vicki’s yard is Nat’l Wildlife Federation certified for this bird lover and features native plants, a shady fairy garden, and a peaceful retreat by her raised planter veggie garden.

Edson has come a long way in a short time–lining his garage with pots of tomatoes and peppers to enjoy, plus an expanding native plant garden complete with fairy touches.

Explore Dave’s yard that is a foodscaping paradise loaded with native plants and shrubs.

Amy’s yard has flower-filled native gardens for both wet and dry, a new arbor and fenced veggie garden, EV charger/solar to see, plus backyard chickens!

Please visit the homes on foot or by bike, if at all possible, and only during tour hours.
