Join members of Go Green Deerfield and the Deerfield Park District to help restore our local woodland by removing invasive plants such as garlic mustard, dame’s rocket, multiflora rose, and buckthorn at Briarwood Park. Important work was done on Chicago River Day, but much more needs to be done!

Removing invasives ensures that native plants and trees get enough sunlight, water, and nutrients to grow, and is essential in maintaining a healthy woodland.

Meet at the parking lot entrance to Briarwood Park, 300 River Rd.

12:00 to 2:00 pm

Rain or shine—>UNLESS there are storms or downpour rain.  Dress appropriately for the weather.

Optional:  Garden gloves, hand tools, shovel, spade, loppers, hand saw.

*Strongly suggest long pants and sleeves, and safety goggles/eyeglasses.  Insect repellent also helpful for a tick deterrent.
