Energy group goals to reduce green house gas (GHG) emissions:
- Transition municipal facilities to 100% renewable electricity by 2020.
- Transition Deerfield residential and small business electricity to 75% renewable electricity by 2025.
- Reduce community wide energy consumption 10% by 2025 by promoting energy efficiency programs.
- Create climate mitigation targets for buildings and transportation, including electricity usage and natural gas usage.

The Energy group is involved in a collaborative effort with Village of Deerfield to gather specific data on Deerfield’s Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and track our community’s progress.
