DESCRIPTION:The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area and the Palatine Cool Cities Environmental Team host an online presentation by US Representative Sean Casten of the 6th Congressional District. Representative Casten is a leader in areas of clean energy policies and technology. He introduced the Efficient Vehicle Leadership Act\, legislation that would combat the climate crisis by reducing transportation emissions\, and is a member of the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. \nRepresentative Casten will provide background on the electrification of our transportation system\, inform us on how to save Americans’ money by creating a financial incentive for consumers to purchase more fuel-efficient vehicles\, and update us on current legislation related to this issue. \n  \nThis online event is free.
